The Stumbling Blocks Challenge is an experiential learning activity that will help your team see and get past their stumbling blocks. For example: competing against one another to build the "best structure" out of wooden blocks or working together to organize a pile of foam blocks into "four squares". On the surface the Stumbling Blocks Challenge is a lot of fun and a great way to motivate your team. On a deeper level it gives people the opportunity to  learn about communication, collaboration and working together as a team.

Yes. Barbara has a great deal of experience and first-hand information to share about overcoming stumbling blocks at work.  She will adapt her style and content to reinforce your organization’s culture, objectives, key messages and specific needs.

It depends on your goals and objectives for the seminar. For example: If you would like your team to get to know one another on a more personal level, which will strengthen relationships and improve productivity, then an ideal audience size is 12 – 24 participants.

How  much  does  Barbara  charge?

Barbara’s fee is $3,500 - $5,000  depending on a few factors including audience size, length of presentation, travel time, and how much customization is required.

Does  Barbara  offer  a  multi-booking  discount?

Yes. Barbara’s goal is to help organizations create a work environment where people are happy, motivated and productive. If this means working with more than one team, or delivering more than one seminar to the same team, then Barbara is willing to offer a multi-booking discount.

Does  Barbara  offer  a  special  rate  for  not-for-profit  associations?

Yes, as part of her commitment to improving healthcare and education she offers a not-for-profit rate for those two industries.

What is Barbara's favorite part of teaching team building seminars?

Do  I  have  to  talk  to  Barbara  about  our  team’s  stumbling  block(s)?

No, it isn’t mandatory. Barbara can deliver a team building seminar that focuses on the most common stumbling blocks. For example: dealing and communicating with co-workers or bouncing back from mistakes with confidence.

Does Barbara present at conferences and meetings?

Yes. Her programs are a great way to increase engagement, networking and participation at your next event.

Can we apply for the Canada-Alberta Job Grant to offset the cost of Barbara's training?

Yes, as long as the training is 21 hours. For example: 3 - full day seminars or 6 - half day seminars. The grant will cover 2/3's of eligible training costs up to a maximum of $10,000 per employee and $300,000 per year for each employer.

The program is available to private and not-for-profit sector employers of all sizes across the province and First Nations and Métis Settlements.
